2nd Workshop on REACH Exposure Scenarios (Human Health) – Industry, ECHA and Authority Perspectives
25-26 of September 2012
Eigtved Pakhus, Asiatisk Plads 2G, Copenhagen, Denmark
*****
The Nordic Exposure Group (NEGh) is hosting the 2nd Workshop on REACH Exposure Scenarios on human health. The first workshop was arranged in Copenhagen 2008.
The general aim of the Workshop is to bring together national authorities, industry, consultants and the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) experts, providing an opportunity to discuss and share their opinions and experience in working with and understanding exposure scenarios (ES).
At the moment, there is some experience on the development, implementation as well as quality assessment of ESs available. There also exist several guidance, tools and formats. However, due to the complexity and insufficiency of many ESs, more activities are necessary to improve their accessibility.
The workshop will give an update of the latest developments related to ESs and will amongst others comprise the following central topics:
- Strengths and weaknesses in building & communicating exposure scenarios
- Experience of the quality issues in exposure scenarios
- Perspectives on the use of scaling
- Exposure scenarios for mixtures
- Co-operation and further actions
Registration: Not later than 3rd of September 2012 Sign up
As we would like the workshop to be balanced between e.g. industry organizations, authorities and consultants, we recommend not more that 2-4 participants from each organization, consultant or authority.
Workshop fee is 100 €, including lecture materials, lunch, coffees and a cocktail reception. Payment is to be done after confirmation from the organizer.
Accommodation: We kindly ask participants to arrange their own accommodation. A list of hotels can be found at the registration web-site (see above).
On behalf of the Nordic Exposure Group (Human health, NEGh), we warmly invite you to participate to the Workshop in Copenhagen.
