Naiem Moiemen

 

Naiem Moiemen, MBBCh, MSc, FRCS (Plast), Consultant Burns and Plastics Consultant,Burns Unit, University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom Mr Naiem Moiemen joined the Birmingham Burns Unit in 2000. As Clinical Service Lead for Burns at QEHB, he oversees one of the country’s leading burns treatment facilities, which has developed particular expertise in treating military patients.

 

Mr Moiemen specialises in breast surgery, burn care, cosmetic surgery, medico-legal, skin malignancy and hand surgery. As well as his clinical work, Mr Moiemen is Clinical Director for the Midland Burn Network and a member of the Burns Clinical Research Group. He has been an Honorary Senior Clinical lecturer at University of Birmingham since 2003.

 

Mr Moiemen has developed a research interest in vascularisation and the integration of skin substitutes and aspects of acute burn resuscitation. He  is the Director of the Healing Foundation Centre for Burn Research, leading a strong UK burns collaborative network between University Hospital Birmingham, University of Birmingham, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, The Royal Centre for Defence Medicine, University College London and the Royal Free Hospital. The research is focused on the acute inflammatory response after thermal injury.

Work nationally and internationally to reduce iatrogenic hyponatremia and hypernatremia. This includes publications and cooperation with the National and the European Medical Agency.  Work to improve treatment of the patient – including the severe burned –with hypo- and hypernatremia. This includes research, publications, education, book chapters, and clinical guidelines.

 

 

 

Lina Lernevall

 

Lina Lernevall, RN, MScN, Ph.d.candidate at Haukeland University Hospital and University of Bergen, Norway.

 

Lina S. D. Lernevall is a true Scandinavian, speaking Swedish, Danish and Norwegian fluently. She was born in Sweden, moved to Denmark when she was nine and for the past two years she has lived in Norway.

 

She has always had a special interest in patients with wounds, since the third weeks at the nursing education. How do people with wounds experience their life with a wound?

 

At the moment she is a Ph.D. candidate at Haukeland University Hospital and Bergen University, in Norway. The working title of her Ph.D. study is “Parent experience of burn injury in their child and perceived needs for support during hospitalization at a burn care centre”. The study is a complex intervention using mixed methods.

She does take some extra nursing shifts at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology ward and the Department of Plastic and Vascular surgery at Haukeland University Hospital, Bergen, Norway.

 

In 2017 Lernevall participated in the Norwegian Researcher Grand Prix and came to the finals. The Norwegian Researcher Grand Prix is a competition where Ph.D. candidates compete in front of an audience and a panel of judges, to become the best presenter of their research.

Lernevall is a member of the board in the Norwegian Wound Healing Society (Norsk Interessefaggruppe for Sårheling - NIFS).

Wiliam Norbury

Mr. William Norbury qulified from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1999. He undertook his basic surgical training in London and Chelmsford before embarking on a three-year research fellowship in Texas during which he obtained his Masters of Medical Science degree.

 

He returned to the UK in 2008 to complete his higher surgical training in plastic surgery and was awarded the FRCP(Plast) in 2012. He has since completed fellowships in acute burns surgery and critical care (Texas, USA), laser surgery (Swansea, UK) and burns reconstruction (Texas, USA). Following the completion of his fellowship he was recruited as Assistant Professor at The University of Texas medical Branch and Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas. His area of interest are sepsis, nutrition and reconstruction. 

 

 

Merete Haedersdal

 

Dr. Merete Haedersdal, MD, PhD, DMSc, is clinical professor of dermatology at University of Copenhagen, senior consultant at Dept of Dermatology, Bispebjerg University Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark.

Dr. Haedersdal directs the Laser Dermatology Clinic at Bispebjerg University Hospital, and she is affiliated visiting scientist at Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, pioneering “laser-assisted drug delivery” together with Dr. R. Rox Anderson and his team.

 

Professor Haedersdal has published > 150 scientific papers and lectures internationally. Her research team focuses on translational medicine in the field of laser dermatology, fractional laser-assisted drug delivery, photodynamic therapy, and treatment of skin cancer with light-based devices.

 

 
Bettina Lange

Bettina Lange, MD, in charge of the pediatric burn center which is part of the department of pediatric surgery at the Mannheim University Hospital, Germany.

 

She completed her medical education and postgraduated in pediatrics. Her visceral and pediatric surgery residency in Göttingen/ Germany was followed by  one-year  fellowship at the pediatric burn center in Lübeck/ Germany.  She now works in Mannheim/ Germany since 2009 leading one of the most pediatric burn centers in Germany. Her main focus of clinical and research activity is scar management including conservative and surgical instruments. In 2013 she started her research on Medical Needling in pediatric burn scars. Her first results were published in Burns, August 2017.

Stig-Frederik Trojahn Kølle

Stig-Frederik Trojahn Kølle, MD, PhD, Chief Physician of Plastic Surgery, Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery, University of Copenhagen

 

Dr. Trojahn Kølle graduated from the University of Copenhagen and trained in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Breast Surgery & Burns at Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet.

 

He is currently working at Aleris-Hamlet Hospitals Copenhagen as a Chief Physician of Plastic Surgery. He is an Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Copenhagen. After three years as a research fellow he received his PhD degree in 2014 from the University of Copenhagen based on the thesis “Enrichment of autologous fat grafts with ex-vivo expanded adipose tissue-derived stem cells for graft survival: a randomised placebo-controlled trial”, the results of which were published in the The Lancet and in Cytotherapy.

 

Dr. Trojahn Kølle has established the first private stem cell laboratory for cosmetic plastic surgery and is currently conducting clinical trials at Stemform Denmark, located at Aleris-Hamlet, Copenhagen. The first promising results are ready for publication. Dr. Trojahn Kølle is a frequent presenter and chairman at international meetings, including IFATS and EURAPS.

His main interests are fascial rejuvenation, breast surgery and clinical use of stem cells in plastic surgery.

 

He is a member of The International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science (IFATS), the Danish Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (DSPR) and the European Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (ESPRAS).

Lisbet Rosenkrantz Hölmich

 

Lisbet Rosenkrantz Hölmich, Doctor of Medical Science, is Associate Clinical Research Professor at Copenhagen University, responsible for teaching plastic surgery. She also works as a consultant in plastic surgery at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Herlev Gentofte Hospital, performing a variety of procedures. She has specialized in implant based breast reconstruction, including fat transfer, procedures for advanced melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.

 

Her main scientific interests are also breast implantation, adverse implant effects, breast reconstruction, melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. Lisbet Rosenkrantz Hölmich has currently published 75 scientific papers, and held numerous lectures, is the head of the Plastic Surgery Research Unit at Herlev Gentofte Hospital supervising phd-students, master students and other research projects. Since 2014 she has been the president of the Danish Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and she also holds the position as chairman of the Danish Melanoma Group. She is appointed national expert of breast implant complications by the Danish Medicines Agency, has worked as such with the EU commission SCENIRH group on PIP implants and is part of the ALCL global network.

 

 

 

 

 

Andrew Salzberg
 

Andrew Salzberg, MD, Chief, Division of Plastic Surgery Mount Sinai Health Systems, Associate Professor Plastic Surgery, Manhattan, United States. 

 

Dr. Salzberg is the Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital and is a Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He specializes in both cosmetic and breast surgery, including breast  reconstruction.  

 

Practicing since 1987, Dr. Salzberg is best known as the pioneer of Direct to Implant or “one-step” breast reconstruction which replaces the traditional Tissue Expander Method. Dr. Salzberg’s first Direct to Implant procedure was done in 2001; since then he has reconstructed more than 1,100 breasts on more than 650 patients as part of breast cancer treatment or prevention for women at high risk of breast cancer due to a BRCA mutation or family history. His experience with using Alloderm or Strattice tissue matrix as implant support allows him to  overcome some of the most challenging cases such as bottoming out, rippling or wrinkling and fold malposition. Dr. Salzberg is also internationally recognized in Fat Transfer for Revision Breast Reconstruction along with NaturalFill Breast Augmentation.  

 

He graduated from the University of Florida School of Medicine, where he earned a Medical Doctorate in 1981. Dr. Salzberg completed a residency in General Surgery at Mount Sinai Beth Israel (then known as Beth Israel Medical Center, 1981-87) and a Plastic Surgery residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital (1984-87).

Jaume Masia 

 

Prof Jaume Masia is currently Full Professor and Director of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Sant Pau Hospital - Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

He received his Medical Degree at Barcelona University, and his PhD at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. Prof Masia did the Plastic Surgery training at Sant Pau Hospital in Barcelona. He completed his training doing fellowships in Canniesburn Hospital (Glasgow) and in Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead).

 

In 1999, he introduced DIEP flaps for breast reconstruction in Spain. He got a post as plastic surgery consultant at Sant Pau University Hospital in 2001. Two years later became the Chief of Microsurgery Unit and in 2007 he won the position as Chief of Plastic Surgery Department and Professor in Plastic Surgery at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.

 

Prof. Masia was President of the Spanish Society of Plastic Surgery (SECPRE) in 2011-13 and President of Plastic Surgery Foundation for Education in 2014-15. From 2010 he is the Co-Director of the International Master Degree on Reconstructive Microsurgery and also Co-Director of the European Master in Oncology, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Breast Surgery at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. Currently he is the President of the Educational Committee of the European Federation of Microsurgery Societies. He has been invited as lecturer and visiting Professor in more than one hundred international meetings in plastic surgery, author of several papers and books as well.  His current main interests are perforator flaps, lymphedema surgery and medical education.

Christian Bonde

 

Christian Bonde, M.D., PhD, Associate professor at the University of Copenhagen and Consultant at the Copenhagen University Hospital, Department of Plastic Surgery. Denmark.

 

He is the President of The Danish Microsurgical Society and the only Danish member of EURAPS.

 

Special interests are microsurgery, breast reconstruction and perioperative optimization.

Trained at the university of Copenhagen, won the University of Copenhagen honorary Prize and Medal, PhD from the University of Copenhagen in for a thesis on autologous breast reconstruction.

He is involved several phd and other research project ranging from enhanced recovery in H&N reconstruction to the use of steamcells in treatment of acute burns and establishment of a national/scandinavian microsurgical database.

 


Lone Jørgensen

 

Lone Jørgensen, RN, PhD, post doc at the Department of Surgery and Cancer Treatment, Aalborg University Hospital and associate professor at the Institute of Health, Associate Professor at The Faculty of Medicine, Department of Health Science and Technology, Aalborg University, Denmark. 

Lone Jørgensen has in particularly focused her research on stress in relation to surgical treatment of breast cancer and patient care. Her work covers stress, patient-reported outcome measures, and effect of sexology counselling on sexuality, body image and quality of life after treatment of breast cancer. Lone Jørgensen’s research also covers patient care with a focus on developing and implementing the person orientated ‘Fundamentalts of Care’.

 

 

 

Sinikka Suominen

 

Dr Sinikka Suominen is an Adjunct Professor at the Plastic Surgery Department of the Helsinki University Hospital.

She completed her medical training in Helsinki, specializing both in General surgery and Plastic Surgery. She defended her PhD thesis on “Complications in Free Flap Surgery” 1997, did a Microsurgery Fellowship at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan 1999-2000 and was appointed as Adjunct Professor in Helsinki University 2007.

She has been both President of the Finnish (2007-10) and Scandinavian (2010-12) Associations of Plastic Surgeons, member of EURAPS Exco and the Treasurer of ESPRAS (2010-14). She is a founding member of the Pyrenean workshop on Plastic Surgery. She is one of the founders of the International Master’s Degree in Reconstructive Microsurgery program (Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona) and its co-director since 2009.

Her main fields of interests are Breast reconstruction, Lymphedema and supermicrosurgery, Facial paralysis, Head and Neck Surgery and Genital reconstruction.  She has contributed on 16 book chapters, 38 original articles, 9 review articles and given more than 80 invited international lectures.

 

 

 

Maria Mani

 

Maria Mani, MD, PhD, Associate Professor, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Uppsala university hospital, Uppsala, Sweden

  

Maria Mani is currently Senior Consultant and Director of Microsurgery at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Uppsala university hospital, Uppsala Sweden. She trained as plastic surgeon in Uppsala in addition to two years of Microsurgical fellowships in London. She is a board member of the Swedish Plastic Surgery Association and representative in the Swedish Breast Cancer Group.

 

As an associate professor, she mentors a number of PhD- and research students. She has received several larger research grants for clinical research related to breastcancer, reconstruction and lymphoedema. Her clinical area of interest is microsurgery, breastreconstruction and lymphoedema. Dr Mani has always been involved in teaching and she currently holds the position as Director of Specialised training in Plastic Surgery in Uppsala.

Javier Gutiérrez

 

Dr. Javier Gutiérrez achieved the Degree of Medicine & Surgery at the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) in 2007. Afterwards, he obtained the Medical Specialization in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona in 2013. During his specialization, he performed several observerships on different centers abroad: Saint Jean Hospital (Brugge, Belgium; Dr. M. Mommaerts, 2011), R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center (Baltimore, USA; Dr. E. Rodríguez, 2012), Clínica Teknon (Barcelona, Spain; Dr. F. Hernández-Alfaro, 2012), Cosmetic Facial Surgery Clinic (Virginia, USA; Dr. J. Niamtu III, 2014), Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital (New York, USA; Dr. S. Marlon Buncamper

Marlon Buncamper is a plastic surgeon in the broadest sense and specializes in plastic surgery. Marlon Buncamper studied medicine in Maastricht. He then worked in the departments of surgery and plastic surgery at the Academic Hospital in Maastricht and at a hospital in Sint Maarten. Marlon Buncamper specializes in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University Hospital in Ghent with particular interest in transgender surgery. He also conducted research in this field. he has been part of different fellowship as In Los Angeles he attended a facelift fellowship. From 2007, Marlon Buncamper worked as an oncological microsurgeon at the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam and as a plastic surgeon at the elthuis clinic. In 2010 he joined the plastic surgeons team of  Jan Van Goyen Kliniek  in Amsterdam (VUmc) where he works today​ and performs transgender surgery  on a daily basis. 

 

 

Jens Berli

Dr. Jens U. Berli, MD is a plastic surgeon in Portland Oregon who specializes in gender affirming surgery. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU.) He joined OHSU’s Transgender Health Program in July 2016. Dr. Berli offers chest procedures for trans men and women, as well as Phalloplasty... and Facial Feminization Surgeries.

 

Dr. Berli was born in Switzerland, where he went to medical school and graduated with the highest distinction. After graduation, he joined the general surgery program in his hometown of Zürich for two years. In 2010, Dr. Berli joined the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore where he specialized in Plastic Surgery. It was at Johns Hopkins where he became interested in transgender health care and decided to dedicate his entire career to transgender surgery.

 

Since 2014, Dr. Berli has visited the top centers in the world for transgender health: Ghent University, Belgium; Preecha Aesthetic Institute, Bangkok, Thailand; St. Peter’s Andrology Centre, London, U.K.; Belgrade Center for Genital Reconstructive Surgery, Serbia; and FACIALTEAM, Marbella, Spain.

Maija Kolehmainen 

 

Maija Kolehmainen is a general (2000) and plastic surgeon (2004) in Helsinki University Hospital, where she has worked since 1999, focusing on breast, transgender, pelvic and genitourinary surgery. 

 

After fellowship by Finnish Surgical Society in Innsbruck, Austria (Universitätsklinik für Plastische und Wiederherstellungschirurgie) in 2003, she introduced the Transverse Myocutaneous Gracilis (TMG) flap to breast reconstructions in Finland. In addition to microsurgery, her interest in breast reconstructions has been propeller flaps. She has been a consultant of plastic surgery for colorectal, urological and gynaecological departments in HUCS for over ten years and has contributed in developing new techniques to pelvic and genitourinary reconstructions, as well as to phalloplasties. 

 

She is a member of Finnish Surgical Society, Finnish Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Pyrenean workshop for plastic surgery and the faculty in the genitourinary module of International Master’s Degree in Reconstructive Microsurgery program (Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona). She has published 10 peer reviewed articles and 4 book chapters, and given several international invited lectures on breast reconstruction, genitourinary reconstruction and transgender surgery.

Lars Kölby is professor of plastic surgery at the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. The focus of his research is craniofacial surgery and the project includes systematic and objective evaluation of surgical results, genetics of craniosynostosis and craniofacial syndromes and evaluation of cognitive functions in craniosynostosis. Nils Martin Öberg

 

Nils Martin Öberg, MD, PhD, Department of Plastic Surgery, Skåne University Hospital, Malmö, Sweden.

Martin Öberg is a Swedish plastic surgeon who has specialized in ear reconstruction. He works at the Scandinavian Ear Reconstruction Centre in Skåne, one of the top ear reconstruction centres in Europe, which handles congenital ear defects and ear deformities from trauma or tumour surgery and performs 350 ear reconstructions annually. The centre is the national clinic for reconstructive surgery of the outer ear in Sweden.

Martin Öberg is the co-Founder and General Secretary of the International Society of Auricular Reconstruction, established in 2012.

Martin Öberg was born in Sweden, where he went to medical school. He became an MD in 1997, finished his plastic surgery training in 2007 and was awarded with a PhD degree in 2012.

His research covers aspects of ear reconstruction including thermosensitivity, blood flow dynamics, patient-reported outcome measures and methods of measurement of the ear.

Started working as Staff Surgeon at Netherlands Cancer Institute - Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital (NKI-AVL) from the 1st of January 2015. Obtained his PhD (cum laude) on the topic of "Sentinel Node (SN) Tumor Load Assessment in Melanoma: Dilemmas and Clinical Management" on January 19th 2011. Has more than 80 peer reviewed publications and presented at numerous (inter)national conferences. He is the Chairman of the EORTC Melanoma Group since April 2018. John Strasswimmer MD, PhD trained at Tufts, Harvard, and Yale medical schools. He is a Fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon and Cutaneous Oncologist in Florida. He is Adjunct Professor of Dermatology and of Biochemistry at Florida Atlanitc University in Boca Raton Florida He is the Founding Director of the Melanom and Cutaneous Oncolgy Program, Lynn Cancer Institute. He is the lead author of more than 30 peer reviewed publications concerning skin cancer and has received awards including a Presidential Citation from the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr Strasswimmer founded Dermatology Medical Missions, which treats melanoma and other skin cancers in Albino patients around the world.

Anette Chakera undertook research and clinical fellowships in Melanoma and Surgical Oncology at Melanoma Institute Australia, Sydney, Australia, in 2008 and from 2013 to 2015, respectively. Phd about sentinel node diagnostics in melanoma and breast cancer. First author of the European sentinel node recommendations and co-author of the update. JP Hong, MD, PhD, MMM, Professor and former Chief of Plastic Surgery at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, South Korea 

Dr. Joon Pio Hong is a Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Ulsan College of Medicine and Asan Medical Center. He has board certification in trauma, hand surgery and plastic surgery. He received his BS degree from the Yonsei University of College of Medicine and his MS degree in medicine and PhD degree from the Graduate School of Yonsei University. He received his MBA on medical management from the University of Southern California at Marshall School of Business. He is an active member of a number of professional associations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgery, World Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery, and Korean Society of Plastic Surgery. His major work has included research and clinical practice in wound healing, diabetic foot reconstruction and microsurgery. He is on the editorial board for numerous journals including the International Wound Journal, Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery, Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and more. He has been invited to over 60 countries to present his work and has over 160 publications in this field of practice. In 2015 he was awarded the ‘Godina Travelling Fellowship’ from the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery. Topic: soft tissue reconstruction, perforator flaps and innovation.

Andrés Rodríguez Lorenzo, MD, PhD . Chief and Associate Professor in Plastic Surgery at the Uppsala University Hospital, Sweden.

He completed his medical education, postgraduated PhD studies  and  plastic surgery residency in Spain followed by  two-years microvascular fellowships at the Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit in Glasgow and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan.  He works in Uppsala since 2010 leading one of the most active microsurgical centers in Sweden. Associate Professor Håkan Brorson, MD, PhD is senior consultant plastic surgeon at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Lund University, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Skåne University Hospital, Malmö, Sweden. He received his Medical Degree and PhD at Lund University. Specialist in orthopaedic and plastic surgery. American National Board Exam.

His research is focused on the formation of adipose tissue in lymphedema using CT, MR Imaging/Spectroscopy and Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry for gross anatomy; microarray and RT-PCR for genetic studies, as well as metabolomics and lipidomics. He has trained several teams around the world to treat lymphedema with liposuction, a treatment that he developed 25 years ago and presented in his thesis in 1998: Liposuction and Controlled Compression Therapy in the Treatment of Arm Lymphedema following Breast Cancer.

Scientific secretary 1998-2005, and President of the Swedish Association of Plastic Surgeons 2008-2010. Executive Committee member of the International Society of Lymphology, the European Society of Lymphology, and the Swedish Lymphology Society. Editor, co-editor, and editorial board member of 10 journals/books and referee to 41 journals.

He was President of the European Society of Lymphology’s Congress 2003 and the 23rd World Congress of the International Society of Lymphology in 2011, both in Malmö, Sweden. President of the International Society of Lymphology 2013-2015.

Member of 12 International Advisory Boards. Special adviser to the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, the Swedish Council on Technology Assessment in Health Care, the Danish Cancer Society, and the Swedish Cancer Society.

Amin Kalaaji is clinic chief and consultant plastic surgeon at Oslo Plastic Surgery Clinic in Oslo, Norway. He has held this position for 14 years. For 10 years prior, he was a consultant plastic surgeon/vice chief in the plastic surgery departments at Telemark Central Hospital and Oslo University Hospital in Norway.  
Dr. Kalaaji completed his surgical training in Paris, France, and Gothenburg, Sweden, where he also earned his PhD in bone grafting of cleft lip and palate.

 

Most recently, his most focus has been on aesthetic breast surgery, including aesthetic augmentation with fat grafting; a new method including logarithm to treat inverted nipples; intimate surgery, gluteal augmentation with fat and quality of life (QoL) after aesthetic surgery (eg, breast, intimate, and nose surgery).

He has published many peer-reviewed scientific papers and has presented more than 170 lectures, courses, and invited-speaker lectures in plastic and aesthetic surgery worldwide as in ASAPS, ISAPS, ISPRES and IMCAS. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery, reviewer in Aesthetic Surgery Journal and participates as faculty in global aesthetic courses for the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).

 

Dr. Kalaaji is an active member and a board member of the Norwegian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and a past board member of the Norwegian Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also an active member of the Swedish Society of Plastic Surgeons; the Nordic Society of Plastic Surgeons; and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), including its international and education/program committees the International Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and the International Society of Plastic Regenerative Surgery (ISPRES).
